Korogocho
- One minute read - 65 wordsThe third largest slum in Nairobi Korogocho, which translates as “mess, chaos, waste”, is located directly at the foot of Dandora, the city’s only garbage dump. Around 150,000 people live here and many of them make a living from the dump. They search the garbage for edible or recyclable items. Children are also sent out to collect garbage and thus contribute to the family’s livelihood.
